Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Security Service Technician to program, troubleshoot, and repair life safety systems. You will work with our service team and clients to ensure timely repairs and system performance.

The role requires 2–5 years in building security tech, knowledge of access control/IP video/voice data systems, and the ability to read drawings. OSHA 10 certs are preferred and occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a technician role within the building security systems industry.
• Knowledge of access control, IP video, and voice/data systems.
• Ability to program multiple manufacturer platforms and graphical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mid-range to complex security systems.
• Ability to demonstrate equipment operation to customers and explain usage.
• Intermediate knowledge of NFPA 70 and 731 for testing/maintenance.
• Knowledge of state fire procedures and drawings reading.
• Ability to travel occasionally overnight; OSHA 10 certification eligible.

Responsibilities

• Program and troubleshoot multiple manufacturers' advanced security platforms.

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Security Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities and experience. This position will work closely with our service team and clients to ensure our critical life safety systems are repaired in an efficient manner to maintain their overall performance. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of system troubleshooting and repair. Customer and employee interface requires a high degree of effective human relations.
