Job summary

Story Land in Kentucky is seeking a Happy Hauntings Security Screener to help maintain a safe and welcoming park environment. You will operate metal detectors, conduct bag checks, and monitor for security issues while assisting guests with directions and information.

The ideal candidate has keen attention to detail, stays calm under pressure, and delivers exemplary customer service. Bilingual skills are a plus; flexible scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; college degree in Criminal Justice or related field desired.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; bilingual skills a plus.
• Experience in security or guest-facing roles is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate metal detectors and conduct bag checks to prevent unauthorized items.
• Maintain professional demeanor while interacting with guests during screening.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity or security breaches to authorities.
• Assist during emergencies by following protocols and guiding guests and staff.
• Provide excellent customer service by helping guests with directions and information.
