Job summary

Marksman Security is seeking a Security Supervisor in the Miami area to oversee scheduling, staff coordination, and client services. You will report to senior management and ensure compliance with policies while maintaining high standards of security operations.

Ideal candidates have a GED, 2 years supervisory experience in security or customer service, and proficiency with scheduling tools. A valid security license may be required. Compensation includes benefits and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and 2 years prior satisfactory employment as a supervisor in security or customer service position.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a security license (if required by the state).
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English. Bi-lingual considered a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software; scheduling software is a plus.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain and review schedules to minimize overtime.
  • Build, improve and maintain relationships with clients and employees.
  • Report operational matters to Vice President of Operations and senior management.
  • Coordinate support services to manage client sites and meet financial and operational goals.
  • Handle escalated security issues or emergencies appropriately.
  • Monitor staff performance and conduct appraisals; manage disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Record data such as call-offs, tardies, emergencies, and equipment issues.
  • Maintain personnel files and workforce management systems with Account Managers and HR.
  • Support HR in terminations, unemployment claims, grievances and appeals; explain policies to staff and applicants.
  • Prepare reports pertaining to personnel activities and account trends.
  • Prepare correspondence and memos.
  • Track company equipment in the field and ensure proper usage according to policies.
  • Stay current on federal and state guidelines relevant to our services.
  • Support the organization's culture, processes and systems to involve employees in business goals.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for establishing, maintaining and reviewing schedules to minimize company overtime within WinTeam
  • Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client and employees
  • Report all operational matters directly to the Vice President of Operations and/or members of senior management
  • Coordinate necessary support services to effectively manage client sites to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service.
  • Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately
  • Monitors the quality of staff performance including review of disciplinary actions, recommendations for suspension or termination as well as ensuring a regular performance appraisal program for all staff
  • Clearly and accurately record reported data such as call-offs, tardies, emergencies, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of equipment
  • Coordinates and documents performance tracking of all staff personnel
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of personnel files and workforce management systems working with Account Managers and HR department, as necessary
  • Support HR department in review of involuntary terminations including coordinating and conducting exit interviews, assisting with unemployment claims, union grievances and appeals Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to all staff and job applicants
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities and account trends
  • Prepare correspondence and memos as needed
  • Responsible for tracking company equipment in the field including technology, vehicles, etc. and ensuring company equipment is utilized in accordance with applicable policies
  • Stays current on federal, state guidelines relative our services
  • Supports the organization’s culture, processes, practices and systems to ensure that all employees are given the opportunity to contribute to the business goals of the company and its clients
  • Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business which includes weekends and evenings
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 years prior satisfactory employment as a supervisor in security or customer service position. Experience in a heavy volume call center is preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Ability to acquire and maintain a security license (if required by the state), including state accredited training requirements.

Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bi-lingual considered a plus.

Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, scheduling software a plus.

Other Qualifications: Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Must maintain a working telephone number though which we can contact you.

Physical Demands: Standard office environment.

Salary & Benefits: Salary starts at 60K - 63K plus paid time off, MBO bonus, medical insurance, dental insurance, paid holidays, and pension/retirement benefits. Skills-enhancing training and opportunities for career growth and promotion.
