Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a dedicated Security Associate to provide a visible safety presence at our Richmond-area supply chain locations. You will validate building security, engage with drivers under CT-PAT guidelines, and perform frequent safety audits using mobile devices.

You will patrol interiors and exteriors, de-escalate incidents, and promptly respond to emergencies while collaborating with leadership to enforce policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years retail, security, or first-responder experience.
• 1–2 years big-box retail security experience.
• Driver’s License required.
• Security license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible security and safety presence at the site.
• Validate building security via gates, doors, and perimeter.
• Engage with drivers per CT-PAT guidance and inbound/outbound processes.
• Perform safety and security audits with mobile devices.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas, on foot or vehicle.
• De-escalate situations involving associates, visitors, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents, accidents, and emergencies promptly.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to enforce policies.
• Report suspicious activity or hazards to leadership.
• Complete detailed incident reports in the case management system.
• Monitor CCTV to detect unauthorized activities.
• Attend monthly Safety Team meetings and stay informed on changes.
• Maintain required certifications and licenses.
• Participate in court hearings and liaise with law enforcement.
