Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Security Associate to maintain a safe, secure retail environment across the assigned supply chain location in Hartford, CT. The role involves patrolling, monitoring CCTV and access controls, and collaborating with leadership to enforce security procedures.

The position requires de-escalation skills, incident reporting expertise, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies. A driver’s license and security credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• 1-2 years of retail, security, first-responder, or military experience.
• 1-2 years in big-box retail, security, or military environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Security license where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and proactive physical security presence throughout the assigned supply chain location.
• Validate building security per policy (gates, doors, access control, perimeter).
• Engage with drivers and inbound/outbound processes per CTPAT.
• Perform regular safety and security audits using mobile devices.
• Patrol interior and exterior premises by foot or vehicle.
• De-escalate situations involving associates, visitors, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents, accidents, and emergencies promptly.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to enforce policies.
• Report suspicious behavior or hazards to leadership.
• Use case management system to document incidents with details.
• Monitor CCTV to detect unauthorized activities.
• Attend monthly Safety Team meetings.
