Job summary

Courtyard Manhattan Central Park, under Aimbridge Hospitality, seeks a Safety & Security Manager to drive proactive protection programs in a bustling New York hotel. You will lead security initiatives, manage risk, and collaborate with hotel teams to ensure safety is integrated into daily operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in safety and security, relevant certifications, and a valid state driver license.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or a closely related field is preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in safety and security management, with a focus on strategic planning and risk management.
• Experience in a hotel or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of local laws and ordinances.
• Must have a valid Driver License for the applicable State.
• Certificate of Completion in Safety and Security Training and/or State Security License, including applicable background checks, per State requirements.
• CPR, First Aid and AED Certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross or HSI.
• AHLA Certified Lodging Security Director certification completed within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and roll out innovative security strategies that keep our hotel safe and ahead of the curve.
• Stay one step ahead by spotting and neutralizing potential risks before they become issues.
• Take charge of the security budget with smart management and deliver financial insights that drive top-level decisions.
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of our security plans, making sure they reflect industry excellence and our company’s values.
• Join forces across departments for an all-hands-on-deck approach to keeping our environment secure.
