Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Hanover, MD is seeking a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to safeguard SCI, SAP, and DOD collateral programs. You’ll develop and implement ICD705-based security resources, manage accreditation packages, badge and alarm reconciliation, and access controls.

This position is located in Hanover, MD. As a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) at Lockheed Martin, you’ll safeguard the Sensitive Compartmented Information and warfighting capabilities our citizens and the world depend upon to protect U.S. and global interests. Here, you’ll work alongside other security experts, government civilians and military members to support their military operational objectives by providing them with a safe and secure operating environment. In this fast-paced, real-world environment, you’ll draw on all your experience and education as well as the resources of Lockheed Martin to keep these exquisite capabilities and intelligence protected.

Currently seeking an ICD705 subject matter expert and CSSO. Develops and plans for physical security resources in accordance with ICD705 standards. Preparing fixed facility checklists, facility accredidation packages, badge and alarm reconciliation, and safe access control. Administers and audits security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and export controlled data. Develops and executes security programs associated with the protection of proprietary information in compliance with corporate policies. Performs in individual and team roles supporting all contractual security requirements for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs, Special Access Programs (SAP), or DOD collateral classified programs. Serves as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CCSO) or a Program Security Representative (PSR). Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company compliance and contract execution as set forth in SAP security regulations (JSIG), SCI security regulations (ICD) or DOD security regulations (NISPOM). Works closely with U. S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals and seeks security rulings or deviations. Provides support in managing the quality, schedule and cost expectations associated with program development and execution, while maintaining the fundamental security requirements defined by the customer/company and program. Prepares implementation manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to classified materials. Develops and conducts security education classes. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Applies business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges, and communicates observations and recommendations to leadership and enterprise business partners. Processes clearances and customer visits and provides support for classified meetings.

Basic Qualifications

Must be able to obtain an active TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.

Must have knowledge and understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 117 NISPOM; DOD 5105.21 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Manuals; and/or DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals.

Must be team-oriented with an ability to still work independently and multi-task.

Must have 5 years of Industrial Security Experience.

Must have excellent communication skills to include verbal and written, as well as tact and diplomacy being key.

This position is a 9/80B Schedule work week primarily normal business hours but mission requirements may require additional hours outside normal scope to include nights and weekends.

Desired Skills

1. Comprehensive knowledge of DoD 5105.21; ICD 705; 32 CFR Part 117; and other DoD policy and regulations.

2. Knowledge of Advanced Programs Security requirements, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Program Protection Plans.

3. Experience as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and/or Media Custodian.

4. ICD 705 Construction Certification and prior experience as a construction security monitor.

5. The successful completion of the Facility Security Officer Certification, or the Contractor Special Security Officer Course, or the CDSE SAP Mid-Level Management Course Pre-requisites is preferred or must be able to successfully complete within 1 year of employment.

7. Excellent written, verbal, and customer interface skills.

Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00
