Join to apply for the Security Project Technician 2 role at Convergint.

Convergint is seeking a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Security Technician to join our culture. Responsibilities include installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certifying, and customer training on diverse projects, from small to large. As a Security Technician, you'll be part of a dynamic team that fosters growth alongside the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in our Recruit Awesome People program to promote our colleague-first culture.
• Install, program, test, repair, and service various systems including security, fire alarm & life safety, and building automation.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine installation procedures; interpret diagrams and repair equipment.
• Operate systems to demonstrate, commission, analyze performance, and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and act as a key technical support interface.
• Consult with engineering to resolve complex system issues.
• Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and potential improvements.
• Manage technical aspects of projects including programming, start-up, customer training, and documentation.
• Identify project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with project and operations managers, recommending improvements and scope adjustments.
• Mentor less experienced staff and supervise testing and tuning activities.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Technical experience with fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.
• Proven troubleshooting and programming skills.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude, including reading blueprints and using hand tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and relevant applications.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to travel locally; minimal overnight travel may be required.
