Job Description

As a Security Professional - Shipping Patrol in Mount Vernon, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a secure atmosphere for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and support a culture that values teamwork, reliability, and integrity. Your role is essential in maintaining order and supporting daily operations at this dynamic location.

Pay Rate: $20.01 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within logistics and distribution locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and monitor for security-related incidents.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized personnel from accessing restricted areas.
• Document and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with site staff and law enforcement when appropriate to address incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• New York Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
