Job Description

As a Security Professional - Access Patrol in Carlstadt, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more.

As an Access Control Officer in a financial institution setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will support a welcoming atmosphere, while your communication skills will contribute to positive customer interactions. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in all security-related matters.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.05 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within financial institution locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas to help to maintain authorized access control.
• Document and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• New Jersey Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
