Job summary

Thrive More is seeking a security guard to secure the facility during evenings, nights and weekends, and to complete work orders requiring non-technical skills in line with facility policies and with regulatory requirements. The role includes handling switchboard calls, enforcing security procedures, and reporting incidents.

Candidates should be at least 18, have security experience preferred, and meet licensing/certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Some experience in security preferred.
• Must be able to use the English language to satisfy the communications and record keeping requirements involved in the performance of this job position, with or without accommodation.
• Must maintain neat, well-groomed appearance, adhering to dress code of the facility.
• Wears Uniform at all times.
• Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions without harm to self or others, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must satisfy all established licensing and certification requirements applicable to this job position.
• Must comply with facility's drug testing and substance abuse policies and programs.

Responsibilities

• Handles incoming calls to the facility switchboard taking care to speak in a professional and courteous manner.
• Observes and enforces the security policies and procedures outlined in the facility's security manual.
• Makes secured all areas per facility policy to ensure the security of the residents, staff and facility property.
• Completes for each shift and gives complete verbal report to oncoming security personnel.
• Completes incident report of any and all unusual events during shift.
• Places a copy incident report in the mailbox of the Director of Facility Services and the Administrator.

Schedule:

• 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, VARIABLE SCHEDULE
• 1st shift, 2nd, and/or 3rd shift
• PRN or relief status
