Job summary

ThriveMore in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a security professional to secure the facility during evenings, nights and weekends, and to complete non-technical work orders according to facility policies, procedures and standards, as well as with sanitary, infection control and regulatory requirements.

The role includes 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am shifts, PRN or relief status, and requires a neat appearance, English communication, and adherence to drug testing policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain neat, well-groomed appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Must be able to communicate in English to satisfy communications and record-keeping requirements.
• Wears uniform at all times.
• Must safely perform all core duties with or without accommodation.
• Must satisfy licensing/certification requirements applicable to the job.
• Must comply with drug testing and substance abuse policies.

Responsibilities

• Handles incoming calls to the facility switchboard in a professional and courteous manner.
• Observes and enforces security policies and procedures in the facility security manual.
• Ensures all areas are secured per policy to protect residents, staff and property.
• Completes shift reports and provides verbal hand-off to oncoming security staff.
• Completes incident reports for unusual events and submits copies to relevant administrators.

Job Objective:

Responsible for securing the facility during evenings, nights and on weekends. Also completes work orders requiring non-technical skills as directed and in accordance with, facility's policies, procedures and standards, as well as with sanitary, infection control and all other requirements of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.

Schedule:

• 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, VARIABLE SCHEDULE
• 1st shift, 2nd, and/or 3rd shift
• PRN or relief status

Job qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Some experience in security preferred.
• Must be able to use the English language to satisfy the communications and record keeping requirements involved in the performance of this job position, with or without accommodation.
• Must maintain neat, well-groomed appearance, adhering to dress code of the facility.
• Wears Uniform at all times.
• Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions without harm to self or others, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must satisfy all established licensing and certification requirements applicable to this job position.
• Must comply with facility's drug testing and substance abuse policies and programs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Handles incoming calls to the facility switchboard taking care to speak in a professional and courteous manner.
• Observes and enforces the security policies and procedures outlined in the facility's security manual.
• Makes secured all areas per facility policy to ensure the security of the residents, staff and facility property.
• Completes for each shift and gives complete verbal report to oncoming security personnel.
• Completes incident report of any and all unusual events during shift.
• Places a copy incident report in the mailbox of the Director of Facility Services and theAdministrator.
