Job summary

ThriveMore is seeking a security professional to guard the facility during evenings, nights and weekends. The role includes handling non-technical work orders, enforcing security policies, and ensuring safety for residents, staff and property.

Responsibilities include receiving calls on the switchboard, filing shift and incident reports, and communicating with incoming security personnel. A neat appearance and adherence to dress code are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Some experience in security preferred.
• Must be able to use the English language to satisfy the communications and record keeping requirements involved in the performance of this job position, with or without accommodation.
• Must maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance, adhering to the dress code of the facility.
• Wears uniform at all times.
• Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions without harm to self or others, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must satisfy all established licensing and certification requirements applicable to this job position.
• Must comply with the facility’s drug testing and substance abuse policies and programs.

Responsibilities

• Handles incoming calls to the facility switchboard while speaking in a professional and courteous manner.
• Observes and enforces the security policies and procedures outlined in the facility’s security manual.
• Makes sure all areas are secured per facility policy to ensure the security of the residents, staff and facility property.
• Completes a report for each shift and gives a complete verbal report to oncoming security personnel.
• Completes an incident report of any and all unusual events during the shift.
• Places a copy of the incident report in the mailbox of the Director of Facility Services and the Administrator.

Job Objective

Responsible for securing the facility during evenings, nights and on weekends. Also completes work orders requiring non-technical skills as directed and in accordance with the facility’s policies, procedures and standards, as well as with sanitary, infection control and all other requirements of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.

Schedule

• 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, VARIABLE SCHEDULE
• 1st shift, 2nd, and/or 3rd shift
• PRN or relief status
