Job summary

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center is seeking a licensed security guard to monitor and protect residents, staff and property. Responsibilities include rounds, incident reporting and enforcing safety and visiting policies across multiple shifts.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of security experience, and be fluent in English. Daily pay options are available. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Prevent entrance of unauthorized individuals.
• Perform rounds of the facility and report unsafe conditions and fire hazards.
• Monitor security signal systems and take appropriate action.
• Follow and enforce the fire safety program.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports.
• Respond to requests to restore order or maintain peace.
• Prevent residents from leaving when inappropriate and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Enforce visiting policy on floors and units.
• Record and return lost or claimed articles.

Job description

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center -

Responsibilities

Prevents entrance of unauthorized individuals

Performs schedules rounds of the facility. During rounds, makes notes of and later reports unsafe conditions and fire hazards observed during rounds.

Monitor security signal systems. Takes appropriate action if warning signal is received.
Follow and enforce the fire safety program.
Participates in or conducts investigations and prepares reports.
Immediately responds via telephone or radio alert when security personnel are requested to restore order or maintain the peace. This may involve interaction with residents, visitors or members of the staff.
Prevent egress of residents who should not leave the Riverside. Immediately reports particularly difficult instances and notable changes in resident behavior to supervising nurse as appropriate.
Responding to floors and units when called to enforce visiting policy when problem s are encountered.

Receive and records articles that have been turned in; returns to owner. Receives and records report of articles claimed to be lost. Takes appropriate actions to prevent pilferage, arson, assault and sabotage.

Shift:

Monday and Tuesday 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM

Friday and Saturday 4pm-12 am

Qualifications

Must be able to speak, read and write proficiently in English.

Salary $18 an hour
