Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Security Engineer to build a high-scale security platform that analyzes SaaS posture signals and threat data.

You will design, implement, and operate event-driven services in Java, focusing on secure-by-design principles and auditability across enterprise workflows. The role requires hands-on work with streaming pipelines, authentication/authorization, and AI-assisted cybersecurity tooling, partnering across security and engineering teams to deliver robust

Qualifications

• 1–3 years building production backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java and secure coding practices.
• Experience with streaming/event-driven architectures at scale.
• Experience deploying secure software with threat modeling and vulnerability hygiene.
• Ability to own work across engineering and security stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build Java-based services to ingest and process high-volume security telemetry from SaaS vendors.
• Design and operate event processing pipelines with deduplication and retries.
• Develop platform authentication and authorization capabilities with audit logging.
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to onboard new SaaS integrations.
• Improve observability, performance, reliability, and incident readiness.
• Establish guardrails for AI-assisted cybersecurity workflows with auditability.
• Lead safe adoption of enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities with human-in-the-loop validation.
