Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Charlottesville, VA. You will patrol facilities, deter security incidents, and assist with access control while delivering excellent customer service and clear communication with a team dedicated to integrity.

The role is full time with day/evening shifts. A valid driver’s license is required, and prior badge access experience is preferred. Training and benefits are provided to support your growth and success.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities-related location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.
