Job summary

I.T. Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Security Operations to lead our 24/7 SOC. This hands-on leadership role will drive AI-powered threat detection, incident response, and security automation in a SOX-regulated environment.

You will oversee incident response, threat hunting, and the optimization of SIEM, SOAR, and EDR/XDR platforms while mentoring SOC analysts and security engineers. Remote work is available with onsite options in Walnut Creek, CA or Chicago.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security operations, incident response, or threat detection.
• 3+ years leading a SOC or Security Operations team.
• Deep expertise with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and incident response.
• Experience in SOX and SOC 2 Type 2 environments.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/LLMs to security operations and automation.
• Strong communication skills with technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day SOC operations across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Serve as Incident Commander for major security incidents.
• Drive AI-powered security operations, automation, and threat detection initiatives.

• Deep expertise with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, detection engineering, and incident response
• Experience operating in SOX and SOC 2 Type 2 environments
• Hands-on experience applying AI/LLMs to security operations and automation
• Strong communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders

The salary range provided for this contract role represents our good faith estimate for this position. Within the range, individual offers will vary based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, location and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process (W2 or C2C).
