Sunstates Security in Rochester, NY is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead security services across multiple sites, overseeing daily operations, client relations, staffing, and compliance with Sunstates standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and 3+ years of related security supervision experience.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to obtain security officer licenses in all required areas.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Train, develop, and motivate supervisory staff to oversee daily site operations.
• Oversee onboarding including interviewing, hiring, training, licensure, and paperwork.
• Train supervisors on software systems and company policies.
• Coordinate payroll, billing, accounts receivable aging, staffing and scheduling.
• Conduct site assist visits and QA audits; liaise with Regional Manager and Director.
• Work with sales and marketing to identify new business opportunities.

Sunstates Security has an immediate opening for a talented, professional, and motivated Operations Manager to help lead our Rochester, NY area. The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily functioning of security services for a portfolio of contract sites including operations, customer service, personnel management, recruiting, administration and security & safety in accordance with Sunstates objectives.

The ideal candidate will provide leadership to employees and develop and maintain strong relationships with employees and customers.

This position offers a salary of $72,000 in addition to a monthly vehicle allowance plus mileage, an annual performance-based bonus, full medical, dental and vision insurance benefits, a 401k plan with company match, generous PTO, tuition assistance and more.

Responsibilities

• Training, developing, and motivating supervisory staff to effectively oversee all day-to-day operations of the site security personnel.
• Overseeing the employee onboarding process including new hire interviewing, selection of candidates, training and licensure, and new hire paperwork.
• Training subordinate supervisors on software systems, procedural guidelines, and company policies and enforcing consistency in policy practice.
• Coordinating operational functions including payroll and billing, accounts receivable aging, staffing, scheduling, and personnel issues.
• Carrying out site assist visits and audits in accordance with the Quality Assurance program.
• Coordinating with Regional Manager and Regional Director to establish branch goals and objectives and communicate these with branch staff.
• Working with sales and marketing to identify and develop new business opportunities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or university and three (3) or more years of related experience and supervision in the security industry.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to qualify and be issued a security officer license in all areas under command.
• Computer literacy in MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
