Job summary

Ideal candidates have Windows and/or Linux administration experience, hands-on vulnerability management, and familiarity with incident response. Rapid7 or Kali Linux experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in Windows and/or Linux system administration.
• Hands-on vulnerability management experience and remediation processes.
• Experience with security monitoring and log analysis.
• Familiarity with incident response processes.
• Experience integrating security technologies in an enterprise IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, prioritize, and help remediate security vulnerabilities across the organization.
• Assist with the implementation and management of new security technologies and systems.
• Monitor systems and analyze logs to identify potential security issues and suspicious activity.
• Participate in incident response and security investigations.
• Work on projects involving the integration or replacement of systems while ensuring security requirements are incorporated.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, systems, and other IT teams to implement practical security controls.
• Develop and improve security policies and procedures while balancing security requirements with usability for staff and students.
• Assist with security-related projects and initiatives and be capable of independently owning assigned projects.
• Support the organization's overall vulnerability management and security monitoring programs.
