Job summary

Homes for the Homeless (HFHnyc) is seeking a Security Operations Manager for our Staten Island Families with Children facility. The role oversees Safety Aides, enforces FDNY/security protocols, and ensures a safe environment for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate has NYS Security Guard licensing, multiple certifications, and at least five years in security with supervisory experience. Benefits include health, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• NYS Security Guard License is required.
• F-02 Certification required.
• F-80 Certification required.
• T-89 FLSD Certification preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of security experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations at a supervisory level.
• Experience with surveillance camera systems and related technology.
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise assigned shift staff.
• Ensure compliance with security and FDNY protocols, reports, and regulations.
• Train staff on protocols, procedures, and equipment use.
• Conduct workshops for staff.
• Train staff on incident report writing.
• Keep all critical files up to date.
• Respond to emergency situations.
