Jefferson County is seeking a Senior Security Officer to supervise and coordinate the work of Security Officers and Bailiff/Court Security personnel. Responsibilities include assigning and reviewing work, approving leave, training staff, conducting performance evaluations, preparing reports, maintaining records, organizing payroll documentation, and assisting with the development of policies and procedures.

Work is guided by the Chief of Security and Operations Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Option A requires a Driver's license and the ability to legally carry a firearm.
• Experience as Security Officer or Bailiff/Court Security or as Security Officer/Law Enforcement with supervisor experience.

Responsabilités

• Performs and oversees administrative duties (policies, budgets, meetings, payroll, time management) for the division.
• Provides customer service via phone, email or in person.
• Reports emergencies and safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Opens/closes buildings and monitors alarms for safety.
• Inspects facilities for security and maintenance issues.
• Screens employees and visitors entering the facility.
• Engages in professional development and knowledge of laws and guidelines.
• Maintains security of premises and safety through patrols and duties.
• Supervises staff by assigning work and providing feedback.
