Job summary

FORTÉ, a 100% employee-owned company, seeks a security-focused professional to provide Tier 2 security support, monitor incidents, and strengthen our security posture. You will handle alerts from MDR/EDR/IDS, investigate incidents, and help advance vulnerability management, identity, and awareness programs.

You’ll work cross-functionally on projects, ensure policy compliance, and communicate findings to IT leadership and auditors. A strong security mindset and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Secure Email/Web Gateways, EDR and SIEM tools.
• Experience with Security Awareness Training and Privileged Access technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender and Defender XDR.
• Vulnerability scanning knowledge and CIS/NIST frameworks.
• Experience administering Microsoft and Cisco systems; networking basics understood.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to alerts from MDR, IDS, DLP, EDR, and email security platforms.
• Investigate phishing, malware, and security incidents; remediation lead.
• Maintain secure email and web gateway controls; Tier 2 escalation support.
• Support vulnerability management, patching coordination, and remediation.
• Assist with MFA/zero trust identity; conduct quarterly access reviews.
• Deliver security awareness campaigns and new-hire training.
• Participate in security projects; ensure policy compliance and docs.
• Communicate security status, risks, and remediation steps to stakeholders.
• Document incidents and investigations; prepare reports for leadership/auditors.
