Job summary

Community First Credit Union is seeking an Information Security Analyst to independently administer security technologies, investigate events, and own recurring security processes protecting member data and operations.

The role is hands-on with broad technical responsibility, requiring the configuration of safeguards, investigation of alerts, and documentation of processes to ensure measurable security outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 2+ years of security administration, systems administration, or comparable hands-on technical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to configure and maintain enterprise security tooling, not only monitor it.
• Solid working knowledge of network infrastructure, ports, protocols, routing, switching, segmentation, and traffic flow.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.
• Experience with centralized logging, SIEM, EDR, firewall administration, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, email security, cloud security controls, and IAM.
• Ability to investigate security events to a defensible conclusion and explain the reasoning to non-specialists.
• Ability to develop and document repeatable processes and procedures.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours maintenance or incident-response processes.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot security platforms across endpoint protection, IAM, email/web security, vulnerability management, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, cloud, and data protection.
• Investigate routine alerts using multiple data sources and document reasoning and escalation decisions.
• Operate vulnerability-management workflows from scan to closure with ownership and due dates.
• Tune detection rules, dashboards, and alert thresholds to reduce noise while preserving true positives.
• Support containment, evidence gathering, recovery, and post-incident improvements.
• Plan and implement approved routine security changes and contribute testing to projects.
• Create runbooks, standards, diagrams, dashboards, and troubleshooting notes for repeatable work.
• Use scripting and APIs to reduce manual effort and improve traceability with secure credential handling.
• Assist audits, regulatory exams, access reviews, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning.
