Job summary

Vertex Inc. seeks a Security Operations Engineer to strengthen security monitoring, incident response, detection engineering, and SecOps automation.

This hands-on role investigates threats, responds to incidents, and builds tooling to help security teams work faster and more effectively. You'll operate on a rotating shift for 24/7 coverage, lead end-to-end incident response, develop detection logic across SIEM/EDR/cloud, and collaborate with teams to close telemetry gaps and improve security

Qualifications

• Hands-on security operations experience with investigations.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK mapping and IOC analysis.
• Proficiency in SIEMs and detection query languages.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, investigate, and respond to security alerts across environments.
• Lead end-to-end incident response from detection to containment and recovery.
• Build and tune detection logic across SIEM/EDR/cloud platforms.
• Develop SecOps tooling and automation to speed investigations.
• Apply AI responsibly in SecOps workflows and validate outputs.
• Collaborate across teams to close telemetry gaps and improve security.
