Job summary

Detroit Institute of Arts seeks a Manager, Technical Security Operations to lead the museum's security and life-safety systems, including cameras, access control, intrusion detection and fire systems. You will oversee the Integrated Operations Center and coordinate with vendors and IT for seamless integration.

The role requires planning and executing complex security projects, developing staff training, and maintaining policies to ensure safe operations and timely incident response.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional security projects.
• Strong knowledge of security and life-safety systems.
• Experience overseeing an around-the-clock security operations center.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and vendors.
• Proven training development and policy implementation skills.
• Skilled in incident response and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and manage security and life-safety functions museum-wide.
• Oversee IOC operations, 24/7 monitoring, and intelligence dissemination.
• Coordinate security projects with departments and vendors.
• Develop and administer staff training for IOC operations.
• Update policies and procedures for IOC efficiency and safety.
• Work with IT to ensure system integration and compliance.
• Liaise with partners for technologic protection strategies.
• Investigate policy violations, injuries, hazards, and incidents.
