Job summary

First Coast Security Solutions is seeking a Captain to support the Federal Protective Service (FPS) Heartland Region contract in Kansas City, MO and surrounding areas. This role provides leadership to site supervisors and PSO’s and ensures operational performance and contract compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of supervisory security experience, strong knowledge of federal contract requirements, and the ability to obtain necessary clearances.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR/First Aid and AED certification.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership of daily operations of assigned contract locations.
• Provide leadership and direction to site supervisors and PSOs.
• Ensure officers are properly trained and maintain all required certifications and licenses.
• Maintain employee files, certifications, reports, and required contract documentation.
• Oversee equipment, uniforms, supplies, permits, vehicles and other operational needs.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain working relationships with clients and employees.
• Respond to operational issues and emergencies.
• Review operational performance, staffing levels and ensure all contractual requirements are met.
• Assist with interviews and recruiting efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
