Alignerr is seeking a Security Operations Analyst (AI Training) to help train next-gen security systems. Work remotely on realistic SOC incidents, documents your expert reasoning, and influence AI threat understanding.

You will classify threats, refine detection logic, and validate AI outputs reflecting how analysts think and operate, with flexible, asynchronous scheduling on an hourly contract.

Formación

• 2+ years in a SOC, IR, or security operations role.
• Solid familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage processes, and investigation workflows.
• Ability to distinguish true vs. false positives and document reasoning.
• Strong written communication to clearly explain conclusions.

About The Role

We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build the next generation of intelligent security systems. As a Security Operations Analyst, your real-world SOC experience becomes the foundation for training AI that reasons through threats, alerts, and investigations the way a skilled analyst actually would.

This is a unique opportunity to go beyond the day-to-day grind of traditional security work and directly influence how AI understands and responds to cyber threats - at a frontier level.

What You'll Do

• Analyze realistic SOC scenarios - incidents, alerts, and investigations - and document your expert reasoning
• Classify threat severity, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions
• Review and evaluate detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and completeness
• Validate AI-generated security outputs to ensure they reflect how analysts actually think and operate
• Flag gaps, misclassifications, or unrealistic AI responses and provide structured expert feedback
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role
• Solid familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage processes, and investigation workflows
• Skilled at distinguishing true positives from noise and false positives
• Strong written communication skills - able to explain your reasoning clearly and concisely
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with threat hunting, detection engineering, or red/blue team operations
• Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or similar
• Background in cloud security, endpoint detection, or network forensics
• Prior experience in AI evaluation or annotation workflows
