Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in SOC, incident response, or security operations roles.
• Familiar with SIEM platforms, alert triage workflows, and investigation methodologies.
• Skilled at separating true security signals from background noise and false positives.
• Able to clearly articulate your reasoning and document findings in structured formats.

Responsibilities

• Analyze realistic SOC incident and alert scenarios, identifying what is happening and why it matters.
• Classify alert severity, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions.
• Review detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and real-world alignment.
• Evaluate AI-generated security outputs and flag gaps between AI reasoning and how analysts actually work.
• Provide structured feedback that helps AI systems mirror professional threat detection and response.

About The Role

We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build the next generation of security-focused AI systems. As a Security Operations Analyst, your real-world SOC experience will directly shape how AI models reason through threats, triage alerts, and respond to incidents — making AI smarter and safer for the entire industry.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for experienced security professionals who want to put their expertise to work on something genuinely impactful.

What You'll Do

• Analyze realistic SOC incident and alert scenarios, identifying what's happening and why it matters
• Classify alert severity, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions
• Review detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and real-world alignment
• Evaluate AI-generated security outputs and flag gaps between AI reasoning and how analysts actually work
• Provide structured feedback that helps AI systems better mirror professional threat detection and response

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in SOC, incident response, or security operations roles
• Familiar with SIEM platforms, alert triage workflows, and investigation methodologies
• Skilled at separating true security signals from background noise and false positives
• Able to clearly articulate your reasoning and document findings in structured formats
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an async environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with threat hunting, digital forensics, or red/blue team operations
• Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or similar
• Prior exposure to AI evaluation or data annotation workflows
