• Document incidents and patrol activities and communicate findings to leadership.

As a Security Officer - Youth Services Organization, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the shelter location, including common areas, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and reporting unusual or prohibited activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
