• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of activity.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and shift handoff communications per site requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time NYS Licensed Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a welcoming environment for staff and visitors while responding to concerns and reporting observations. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff at a government-operated shelter or services location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor, resident, and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
