Allied Universal in Secaucus, NJ, is looking for a Security Officer Full Time X Ray Screening Specialist. You will screen people and belongings, monitor access points, and respond to security concerns while delivering excellent customer service.

This role supports a tech-focused environment with day-to-day operations at client sites. Requirements include 5+ years in security, X-ray screening and badge access experience preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a tech-focused location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries and verify credentials.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and screening equipment; report incidents.
• Respond calmly to incidents and document observations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Full Time X Ray Screening Specialist in Secaucus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people and belongings, monitoring access points, responding to security-related concerns, and providing exceptional customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while supporting daily operations. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.65 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Tue 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Thur 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with established entry requirements; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and screening equipment; report unusual activity, policy concerns, and/or prohibited items to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and documenting observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access areas, business spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
