Allied Universal Security is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Risk Detection in Philadelphia, PA. You will monitor and patrol residential common areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and assist residents and visitors with courteous service.

You will respond to incidents calmly, document observations, and work as part of a team to uphold safety and a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Maintain a professional presence, communicate with residents and guests, and contact appropriate personnel or emergency services when required.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a residential location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately.
• Maintain a professional presence, communicate respectfully with residents and guests, and contact appropriate personnel or emergency services when required.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
