Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer to patrol a wholesale retail store in Riverhead, NY. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $18.00–$19.00 per hour. The schedule runs day shifts from 6:30 AM to 2:15 PM, with opportunities to advance to full-time by taking additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, members, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and customer concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail space, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe delivery, vendor, and employee activity per site policies.
• Document incidents and communications to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

As a Security Officer conducting patrols in a Wholesale Retail Storein Riverhead, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 - 19.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, members, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail sales floor, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points and observe delivery, vendor, and employee activity in accordance with site-specific policies.


• Document incidents, observations, and policy violations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
