Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a Screening role in Shepherdsville, KY. You will work at a technology and media location, screening visitors and monitoring access points to help deter incidents and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology and media location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and packages according to established entry procedures, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Operate screening equipment and monitor entry points for prohibited or unauthorized items, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, screening stations, and surrounding business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
