Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for weekend monitoring in Mesa, AZ. This part-time role involves serving and safeguarding clients across Tech/Media/Telecom, maintaining a visible security presence, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

You will perform routine patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering strong customer service and clear communications with site contacts.

Qualifications

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, assisting with visitor inquiries, and reporting maintenance, facility, and security-related issues through established channels.

What You’ll Do
