Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Access Screening in Verdi, NV. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and support access procedures for employees and visitors at a manufacturing and industrial location.

This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, including late-night shifts, and the chance to use smart tools to claim additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Access Control/Badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per laws.
• Allied Universal considers applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Subject to drug screening where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized individuals per site policies.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate concerns through reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and shift documentation and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
