Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs/reports for patrols and incidents.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel and report maintenance/security concerns to appropriate contacts.

As a Security Officer Warehouse Factory in Bohemia, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.07 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports for patrol activity, incidents, and security‑related observations.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and reporting maintenance, access control, and security‑related concerns to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
