As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Tablet Operations in Jessup, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Security Experience (C115)Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a security-related role. This experience should demonstrate the ability to manage security protocols and respond effectively to security incidents.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have experience with access control systems and badge management. Familiarity with electronic access systems and the ability to issue and manage identification badges is essential.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage electronic communications, and utilize digital tools effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)Candidates should possess a background in customer service, showcasing strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. Experience in resolving customer inquiries and providing assistance is highly valued.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, driver, and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity through accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
