Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Criminal histories considered per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Assist with controlling vehicle and pedestrian access to shipping, receiving, loading, and distribution areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones, and report security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
