Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Visitor Reception in Tampa, FL. You will greet visitors, manage access, and maintain front-desk operations at a utilities site.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by greeting employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in a professional manner.
• Monitor access to the utilities location by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing guests according to site-specific policies.
• Answer incoming calls, provide general information, and route communications to appropriate personnel while maintaining confidentiality.
• Monitor security-related systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned, and promptly report unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
