Job summary

Allied Universal in Blythewood, SC is seeking a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver to safeguard clients across manufacturing and industrial facilities. You'll perform routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver professional customer service while supporting daily operations.

This full-time driving role requires a valid driver's license, prior security or law enforcement experience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license required.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities through clear and timely reports.

Pay Rate: $19.89 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Wed: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Thur: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities through clear and timely reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
