Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed - Site Access in Blythewood, SC to safeguard clients across multiple industries. You will perform routine patrols, support access control, and provide excellent customer service while upholding company standards.

This is a full-time role with a 19.10 USD hourly pay rate. The position requires at least 2 years of security-related and law enforcement/military/corrections experience, high school diploma, and successful background/drug

• Background check and drug screen required.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and enforce site policies at a manufacturing/industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, escalating per site procedures.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain logs of incidents.
• Communicate hazards and security issues to site contacts and leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed - Site Access in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a professional environment. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, exterior grounds, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
