Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following security procedures and site policies, and assist with emergency response when needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor/vehicle/delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and report observations to site contacts.
• Identify hazards and report equipment concerns or spills per site protocols.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Michigan City, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and site procedures. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and prepare accurate reports.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, spills, or unusual activity in accordance with site-specific reporting and emergency response protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
