The Security Officer Vehicle Patrol role is based in Detroit, MI, and focuses on unarmed patrols across healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.

You will provide excellent customer service, perform access control, document activity with tablets, and report incidents promptly.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following site procedures.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials when required.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, communicating with site contacts and leadership.

As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, assist with access control and badge processes, and use computer or tablet systems to document activity. Through professional communication and customer service, you will help create a welcoming environment while remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Experience working in a primarily driving post is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
