Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Screening Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while working as part of a reliable, agile, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon09:45 PM - 06:15 AM Fri05:45 AM - 02:15 PM Sat01:45 PM - 10:15 PM Sun01:45 PM - 10:15 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a logistics and distribution location.


• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout warehouse, loading dock, trailer yard, parking, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.


• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• X-ray screening experience is preferred.


• Loss prevention experience is preferred.


• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
