Pay rate is $16.50 per hour with a six‑month anchor shift commitment. The position supports part‑time hours and the potential to scale to a full schedule up to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, parking areas, garden center, receiving areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer disputes, suspected theft, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, deliveries, and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain orderly operations for customers and associates.
• Communicate professionally with store personnel, customers, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership while completing required activity reports and incident documentation.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
