Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Route Patrol in Boston, MA. This part-time role focuses on protecting residents and customers, delivering excellent service, and deter incidents through visible presence.

You will patrol assigned areas, monitor entry points, report observations, and support staff with professional communication. The role offers a flexible weekend schedule and growth opportunities within our security platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be needed by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, access-control issues, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of common areas, parking, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious activity and policy violations.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate with site management, residents, and responders as needed.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology-focused residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.15 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential condominium location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious activity, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with site management, residents, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
