Job summary

Allied Universal in Jackson, TN is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to perform routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. You will support access control, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors to uphold safety on site.

The role offers evening and night shifts with a pay rate of $18.14 per hour. You can build a flexible schedule and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per federal, state and local laws.
• Backgrounds considered in compliance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be needed by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of work areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter.
• Monitor entry/exit, verify authorized access, and document activity.
• Complete incident reports and logs per Allied Universal and site requirements.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and site operations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovation.

• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial work areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
