Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer in Savannah, GA. You will patrol healthcare facility grounds, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

This full-time position offers a $19.00 per hour pay rate and a schedule that includes day and evening shifts. We seek individuals at least 18 years old with a high school diploma (or equivalent) who can pass background checks and drug screenings as required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific procedures, directing individuals to appropriate areas as needed.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and report them to site leadership according to established procedures.
