Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal considers applicants with criminal histories where permitted by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws; driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor and vendor authorization, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and completely in accordance with site-specific policies.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
